The Ircam and Ensemble Intercontemporain concert programme features a new piece by Beat Furrer containing traces of words whispered by musicians, Gérard Grisey's Partiels, and two pieces by German musicians. Arnulf Herrmann wrote the music for the Mozart-inspired Terzenseele (Others' Souls) in 2006 (Mozart Year) and Philippe Maintz's Ocean (a hint at his first opera) is based on Lautréamont's Chants de Maldoror.
