"Link" is a new series of events scheduled to take place at the Centre Pompidou, surrounding notions of filiation and heritage. As part of this, two artists from different generations have been invited to come and present and explain their work. Via speech and image, they will compare their respective creation processes which both conform to the same art movement. Anthony McCall, representative of the cinematic Avant Garde of the 1970s, known for his films of open-air performances and his "solid light films", and Cyprien Gaillard, young winner of the Marcel Duchamp prize 2010, whose work maintains a strong relationship with land art and conceptual art, responded to the "Link" invitation. For this show, the artists will screen extracts of their films.
