The work of Ciprian Muresan consists of drawings, "animated" drawings, photographs, sculptures, books and videos. His work is rooted in both post-communist Romania and the history of art, reinterpreting it incisively, like Buñuel's Un Chien Andalou – revisited by Shrek – and Maurizio Cattelan's La Nona Ora. During this evening, the artist presents a work recently acquired by the Centre Pompidou: the video Dog Luv based on a text by Savania Stanescu: a short resumé of the history of evil told by an assembly of large dog puppets.
