"From the door to his show Gómez Mata hangs a strange closed sign: gone to mass, back soon. This sign announces the metaphysical context: here we will be talking about the soul; that of man, but also of objects. The focus of this evening is animism and all that comes with it. There is, however, nothing too solemnly religious though, as the Alakran company questions our myths and preconceived ideas so much that it becomes humorous. It could be said that this theatre raves and rambles in order to instigate a dispossession of the self, using humour to bring us to make a new pact with the stage. Momentarily, in the time it takes to ask ourselves, for example: by wanting to save face do we end up losing our soul?"
