Carsten Nicolai is one of the most active composers on the current minimal electronic scene. A visual artist and musician, he is as well known in the world of contemporary art for his installations as on the electronic scene for his productions published under the pseudonyms Noto or Alva Noto. Not forgetting his collaborations with Ryoji Ikeda and Mika Vainio of Pan Sonic.
