Les Rendez-vous du Forum / Arnaud Maguet
33 révolutions par minute
13 - 30 Oct 2011
The event is over
The "Rendez-vous du Forum" is a relatively new event launched in 2010 by Alain Seban, director of the Centre Pompidou, and Bernard Blistène, director of the cultural development department, to heighten interest in the Nouveau festival hosted by the Centre Pompidou and to open the museum up to all of the new forms of art around today. From 13th to 30th October, a new series of lectures, performances and concerts will take place. Aiming to create a dialogue between disciplines, and in the presence of a well-known guest, artists will come and meet visitors during a conference, a performance, a screening and a concert. The lower floor of the Forum currently has on display a creation by Arnaud Maguet, "33 révolutions par minute" (33 revolutions per minute), based on pieces which have in common a rotating and "revolutionary" mechanism. Each day, at 7.00 pm, one or several guests come to play, read or perform.
