The territorial brand

Public authorities cannot be reduced to the economic flows that run through them: they are also fictions, and magical "beings". The region, the community and the territory are far more than machines governed by administrators and elected representatives. Here images are produced without which nobody could do anything. Flags, blazons, escutcheons and emblems of public authorities – halfway between the residue of folklore and borrowings from the aggressive strategies of "brand" and "logo" - are questioned in an extension of the approach adopted in the book Face au Brand territorial published by Lars Müller.
With Ruedi Baur (graphic artist), Thierry Paquot (town planner) and Michel Pastoureau (historian)/Moderator: Romain Lacroix.
