India is becoming increasingly influenced by the West, all the while preserving its own codes and proclaiming its own unique identity. Torn between two worlds, the complex reality of India can be seen in the tales of today. Whether they have chosen to live elsewhere or to stay in India, all of these Indian writers tell stories of India. Some of them will talk about "their" India, and French linguists and translators will talk to us about India's multiple languages and scripts and their role of communicating them to the West. Tendance floue, a group of photographers, comments on their images published in Mad in India.
