Debate / Meeting
Sanja Ivekovic and Maja Bajevic
10 Nov 2014
The event is over
Croatian artist Sanja Ivekovic reflects on the image of women in the media, appropriating their seduction techniques. Her performing practice – photography and video – is part of the criticism of the genre from the question of constructing an identity through to the individual's political commitment. The works of Bosnian artist Maja Bajevic combine collective and individual memory, generating a confrontation between the global and local. The series of "Women at Work" performances reintroduces the feminine world into history through the prism of domestic tasks.
With the artists and the art critic Elisabeth Lebovici. A cycle constructed around the notions of filiation and heritage, "Link" invites artists of different generations to compare their respective creative processes through the spoken word and image.
