Roland Barthes, critique de cinéma

Barthes was first and foremost a film critic: from his first text on Les Anges du péché by Bresson to his writings on Salo, Souvenirs d’en France and Les Sœurs Brontë, he devoted himself to this codified, meticulous exercise, which demonstrates all his interest in films, and his passion for them.
