Le Cinéma de Roland Barthes, vu par Philip Watts

Philip Watts taught literature and film studies at Columbia University from 2008 to 2012. His research work focused on Jean Genet, Jacques Rancière, Jacques Rivette and the films of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet. At his death in 2013, he left a manuscript, which his friends completed and edited: Le Cinéma de Roland Barthes (Roland Barthes’ Cinema). Yves Citton, Professor of French literature at the University of Grenoble, presents the work of Philip Watts.
