Sound studies examine historic, social, cultural and environmental events through the prism of sounds, revealing new dimensions in them. The "meetings" cycle deals with several innovative aspects of these fields of research. The idea of a place's characteristic sound signature is central to the first session, evoking public spaces outside the Western sphere: markets, railway stations, streets and religious places in India and the Lebanon.
