Invited for the preview of Los Muertos in Buenos Aires, Argentino Vargas and Misael Saavedra, the two silent heroes in the first two feature-length films by Lisandro Alonso, get lost and wander through the San Martin theatre. “The Argentine filmmaker films corridors, staircases and wings, as if he was filming trees and running water, expressing the same inadaptation of the individual in any milieu,” analysed Nicolas Azalbert in Les Cahiers du Cinéma, n°660.
