Melvil Poupaud has acted since the age of ten, when he was discovered by Raoul Ruiz, who gave him his first role. Today, he is one of the most fascinating actors of his generation. He has strong ties of friendship and collusion with Charles de Meaux in the realm of film, and once again stars in the film director's next feature film, shot in China in 2013. Poupaud explored the cinema from the other side of the camera early on, filming material documenting his life when he was a teenager. "Melvil" is the name of a character who moves halfway between cinema and real life seeking a family, a place to fill and a role to play. The film shows his career through three adventures - "Le Fils", "Le Recours" and "Le Cinéma" – three types of film; three types of embodiment.
