Territoires

Mathilde Monnier revisits her repertoire at the heart of the Museum: a unique opportunity to rediscover the work of this leading French choreographer, as well as the iconic works in the Centre Pompidou collection.
Territoires is a stroll through a thirty-year collection of movements from Mathilde Monnier's choreographies, some of which were presented in the Grande Salle at the Centre Pompidou. Along with her long-standing performers and young dancers to whom such movements have been passed on, she modernizes them and offers them to the public.
Gathered together in a scattered anthology following the modus operandi of memory – that of discontinuity, forgetting and recomposition – these movements are veritable capsules of autonomous emotions that audiences are invited to visit, following the paths of their own wanderings.
