Abbas Kiarostami, a Report, de Bahman Maghsoudlou
14 Jun 2021
The event is over
Iconic filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami is seen through the prism of his early works, such as his first short film (The Bread and Alley, 1970) and, especially, one of his first feature films, The Report (1977). Kiarostami's early works are considered as paradigmatic examples of his cinematographic production, allowing the spectator to see the poetic and humanistic paths he follows. Exclusive interviews with film critics, historians, academics (including the late Andrew Sarris) and a number of people who took part in the filming of The Report, reveal how the independent filmmaker’s career began and panned out.
