Musiques-Fictions : La Compagnie des spectres de Lydie Salvayre
25 - 27 Jun 2021
The event is over
The Musiques-Fictions combine a contemporary text, a musical creation, and a collective experience of immersive listening. A collection launched in 2020, a program in which musical creation is in direct contact with literary fiction. Giving full scope to musical writing and full intelligibility to the text: Musiques-Fictions intends to renew the genre of radio fiction, the Hörspiel, by going beyond the simple sonic illustration of the narrative or dialogue, when the image no longer acts as a screen.
In a three-room apartment in a Créteil housing estate, two women, a mother and her daughter, live behind closed doors, haunted by memories of the Occupation and the Second World War. The mother suffers from dementia and believes that she is still suffering persecution by Pétain or Darnand. "In Lydie Salvayre's novel, space and time become two uncircumscribed dimensions, where the voices of the three characters brought into play by Anne-Laure Liégeois collide and bounce. She uses with magic a whole palette of intonations, violent or tender, cold or sensitive, playful, funny, and bitter, raw, or convoluted. She creates a dramaturgy of enunciation which is already, for me, the music of the text read aloud." (Florence Baschet)
