Musiques-Fictions : La Compagnie des spectres de Lydie Salvayre

In a three-room apartment in a Créteil housing estate, two women, a mother and her daughter, live behind closed doors, haunted by memories of the Occupation and the Second World War. The mother suffers from dementia and believes that she is still suffering persecution by Pétain or Darnand. "In Lydie Salvayre's novel, space and time become two uncircumscribed dimensions, where the voices of the three characters brought into play by Anne-Laure Liégeois collide and bounce. She uses with magic a whole palette of intonations, violent or tender, cold or sensitive, playful, funny, and bitter, raw, or convoluted.
