When Lisa and Giorgi bump into each other in a street in Kutaisi, Georgia, it is love at first sight. They forget to exchange names but agree to meet again the next day. Will they be able to see each other again? If they can, will they know who they really are?

2021 Berlinale, official competition / 2021 La Rochelle Film Festival
“Sous le ciel de Koutaϊssi is one of those rare films that totally reinvents the art of storytelling. Combining witchcraft, thwarted romance and a passion for football, it undoes the order of events in a stream of heterogeneous episodes. While the tale is recounted by a voice-over, the director’s methods - use of framing, distance, light, associations and ellipsis – is based on the strengths of cinema itself: its bewitching power and our belief as spectators, charmingly solicited.”
Presented by the editorial team of Cahiers du cinéma and followed by a virtual meeting with Alexandre Koberidze
