Film buff and critic Jacques Rivette was one of the quatre jeunes turcs who took over the Cahiers du Cinéma in the 1950s (Rohmer, Truffaut and Godard were the other three). And he is probably the Nouvelle Vague's most exacting director. The Centre Pompidou will be screening all the films he has released (and all their different versions), a previously-unreleased film, and three seminal documents containing Rivette's insights on his work.
