Richiamo

In Marc Monnet's library, farce and the grotesque occupy a place of predilection (the Latin comedy of Maccus, the carnival of German Romanticism, the jubilation of Kagel) Ti, ci, ti, ti, timptru emerges from Charles Nodier's dictionary of onomatopoeia, written at the beginning of the 19th century: ten variations crossed by eight unexpected interludes for soloists. Francesco Filidei affirms loud and clear his selective affinities for opera, his taste for stylizing the past. The one who in his youth "made such a fuss of everything", feels free to play with references, lyricism and tonality. As for Ivan Fedele, he considers the history of music as a geology whose successive strata will constitute an artist's own. Richiamo ("call", "reminder", "attraction"...) involves seven brass instruments, a keyboard and two percussion instruments with electronics, and reveals a taste for symmetry and geometry. This preoccupation with spatial order can still be heard in Lara Morciano's work, which superimposes sound planes, trajectories and electronic treatments.
