Typologies and Architecture of the School is the title of a theoretical work published by the architect Uberto Siola in 1966.
Between 1974 and 1977 and in collaboration with Luigi Pisciotti and Dante Rabitti, Siola produced a study of school buildings. The series of drawings were rapidly transposed to blueprints, independently of any commissioned work. The ensemble testifies to research into typology (the open and closed playground, combed finish and blacks) and composition through juxtaposition. Siola's architectural technique followed the research initiated by Aldo Rossi, while offering original variants to this theoretical approach.
