Il y a le fleuve, et à l'arrière-plan, la ville où les gens vivent, prient, se marient et meurent. Depuis la barque d'un batelier du Gange, de l'aube jusqu'au crépuscule, le film prend la forme d'un voyage sans destination.
The river, and in the background, the city where people live, pray, get married and die. Accompanying a Ganges boatman, from dawn until dusk, the film takes on the shape of a journey with no destination.
