In 1998, Céline Duval took the artist’s name, “documentation céline duval," for her work with personal photographs – the anonymous photos that compose this form of “middle-brow art.” She gleans, arranges, edits and publishes them. The book coeur, point et ligne sur plan will be published in January 2013 and draws on her discovery of Wassily Kandinsky’s “album” of photographs. His widow, Nina, left the album to the Centre Pompidou in 1981, together with the contents of his studio, including archives and a library. The album is kept in the Pompidou’s Kandinsky Library.
