A retrogressive interpretation of the Frankenstein myth, an evocation of the genealogy of ideas and images linked to this figure of the modern Prometheus, Psychopompe, the film by visual artist Camille Henrot, is less composed of a clear narrative than it is a succession of evasive images in a style which is both instinctive and erudite. The soundtrack to her film, played live by Joakim, a big name on the French electro scene, accompanied by his group The Disco, fluctuates between minimal and ambient music and Noise influences. This offers a unique mix of electro sounds and acoustic instruments, of layers of sound stretched out through time and noisy interventions that draw out a narrative: a story of metamorphoses.
