Svetlana Alpers

Svetlana Alpers is an internationally famous art historian. Mingling technical, aesthetic and iconographic studies, her studies on Rembrandt, Velasquez, Tiepolo and Rubens are references in their field. Neither memoirs nor a narrative, Roof Life (published in 2013, and in French by Conférence in 2015) is a self-portrait on the themes of looking as a means of being in the world. The event is preceded by a preview showing of the film Svetlana Alpers (45', 2015) by Marianne Alphant and Pascale Bouhénic (Un œil, une histoire coll.)
