Performance
Pauline L. Boulba & Aminata Labor
J.J. (étape de création)
13 Oct 2021
The event is over
J. J. borrows the initials of the American dance critic, performer and radical lesbian feminist Jill Johnston (1929-2010). Led by Pauline L. Boulba with the complicity of Aminata Labor, this piece proposes a journey through the real and fictional lives of Jill Johnston.
Through the invention of archives, the use of quotes, the use of voices and drag king postures, the two performers share a reflection on art and lesbian practices.
The piece J. J., created in spring 2022, is part of a protean project including a forthcoming film and a book to be published in 2023.
